Where to turn? What to do? Nothing can possibly prepare you for the moment a loved one is facing a terminal illness or life-limiting condition. End-of-life decisions and care have to be made while you seek to provide comfort and compassion for your family member.
The decision to accept hospice care can be a difficult one, but often provides the physical, emotional and spiritual support your loved one needs.
We’re very fortunate to have Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois (HPNI) right in our backyard. They help patients realize their quality-of-life and end-of-life goals one day at a time through pain and symptom management, compassionate care, specialized therapies and a range of social services.
HPNI is a community-based, non-profit agency that serves patients in McHenry, Lake, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Boone and Will counties—regardless of their ability to pay.
For the past 8 years we’ve held a special charity golf outing with proceeds going to HPNI and Hospice in Templemore, Ireland.
Your participation i
n our golf outing does great good, all the money raised through the golf tournament helps to pay uncompensated services such as integrative treatment, which consists of massage, art and music therapies, grief support and services for people who’s insurance have run out.
In the past 8 years we’ve raised over $128,000 dollars and we thank you for that! Last year we raised $27,500 and we’d like to match and break that this year.
Whether you’re a duffer or carry a low handicap, we encourage you to participate in this fun, daylong event on Tuesday September 13th. It really is a memorable day filled with fun and laughter and it’s all for a good cause.
We hope you’ll grab your spouse, friends, neighbors and co-workers and join us.
